Greetings!
Laura with her dad,
Frank Del Grosso
During the last month I’ve experienced both tremendous joy and deep sorrow. While speaking to 1000 women at a conference in Athens, Texas I received notice that my dad had a stroke. I flew to NY where along with my brother and stepbrother we made the decision to remove his ventilator. His brain had suffered extensive damage and there was no hope.
I am grateful that he lived long enough for me to say goodbye. And that I could be by his side as he took his last breaths. However, that was not to be God’s greatest gift of grace.
Just before Christmas he told me that his blood pressure was extremely high. After we spoke I felt a prompting from the Holy Spirit to one more time explain that Jesus died for him, the truth about eternal life. I lovingly shared how he could know for certain that he would go to heaven after death, how to repent of sin, and accept Christ’s gift of eternal security.
On January 21st, 2010, a month later, my dad had a stroke. He had my letter on him.
I don’t know that my dad prayed that prayer, or that he surrendered his life to God. However, having the letter with him offers hope.
What I do know with absolute certainty is that God can be trusted with my loved ones. He is a perfect God that isn’t manipulative, controlling or needy. He is holy and all-knowing. His steadfast love toward me is incomprehensible and this experience has strengthened my faith and my trust in Him more than I can describe.
I know, that I know, that I know…God is good. All the time.

The “Who’s Your Daddy?” message that I share from the platform is by far my favorite one to deliver. I think it’s because I’ve discovered that everything in life hinges on the answer to that question.
During my early years as a Christian I thought I believed in God’s love. However, over time I discovered that I had allowed Jesus to become my Savior, but I wouldn’t let Him be my Daddy. It was too risky.
Long ago I built a strong tower of protection around my heart to avoid pain, abandonment and rejection. Therefore, I wouldn’t allow anyone to love me deeply— including God. [read more]

Laura is a full-time author and speaker. Therefore, she is willing to speak almost anywhere there is a request. However, a church or person in the community needs to initiate and host the event.
Laura has a variety messages that are geared for women’s groups or any audience. Plus many of her topics focus on people who are complicated situations such as: single parents, stepfamilies, those who are divorced or in difficult marriages. She works very hard to make this affordable to those who desire an event. To bring one of Laura’s events to your community, send a note though the contact page.
