Merry Christmas!
If you enjoy giving gifts then you are going to love this month’s newsletter.
I can’t think of a better way to thank God for the Baby who was born to set us free than to do something dear to His heart. This month I’m partnering with Land of a Thousand Hills coffee which provides an opportunity to minister to the poor, and obtain a luscious gift of coffee at the same time.
My goal is to partner with my readers in purchasing 130 bags of coffee which equals one year’s worth of average wages for a Rwandan farmer. Please join me by sending a gift of coffee to someone on your Christmas list (orders must be in by Dec 18th to ship on time) or obtain wonderful coffee for your own party or festivities.
When placing your order, write “Bridges” or my name, in the comments section so we will know how many orders came from this newsletter. (NOTE: I am not profiting in any way from this promotion.) To learn more about LOTH or to place an order click here: www.landof1000hills.com
As an added bonus LOTH has graciously offered a bag of coffee and a tumbler to this month’s prize winner. I’m honored to offer the opportunity to “Drink Coffee—Do Good.”
On a final note, if you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or family member who has suffered a loss or divorce this year understand that the holidays may be extremely painful for him/her. Make sure to invite those who may be sad or lonely to join in your festivities.
Wise Men Still Seek Him.

Cousins, aunts and uncles, godparents and various other people filled the house with boisterous talking, bellowing laughter, and an occasional argument. Nana’s girlfriends always spoke Italian, and they smelled a little strange. But their pinch to your cheek, or bone-crunching hug only added to the fun. I have tremendous memories of those Christmases long ago in Nana’s kitchen. I felt safe, and a part of something larger than myself.
However, October through December can be an excruciating time of year for those who have experienced a loss. In addition to the death of a loved one, divorce, illness, family trauma, job loss, or moving to a new location can cause serious depression during the holidays...[read more]
